Really? Not in my family. In my family, if they can't change you they abandon you because, well, you just are not worth it if you do not comply. Now, 40+ years later, I am trying to figure out who I am because who I was, was never right, never loveable, not even likeable. Here's to not changing...or finding....who we are in 2013!!!
And god forbid if you realise in adulthood that your NM is a psychotic egomaniac who only wants to hunt her children like prey for her own amusement
Ah ... once again I have landed upon this wonderful blog ... It is very therapeutic to revisit so many who have similar experiences ... we can't change the past but we can avoid our NMs today and in the future! Great Blog!
